| 3.00.03 | D5J Electrical Report | The D5J report form has been added to both e-report and e-report internet. |
| 3.00.02 | Internet/Other Defects column | Main reason for this release is intergation of the e-report Internet code to allow e-report internet users access to version 3 features. Also corrected "Other Defects" column in grids. |
| 3.00.01 | New Version | Initial release of Version 3 |
| 2.02.07 | Template corruption | Some users have had problems with report templates becoming corrupted and unviewable, this version will refresh those templates. Users not experiencing this problem need not download this version. |
| 2.02.06 | B106J Reports | It has been reported that assets inspected under a B106J heating plant report can sometimes pick up an invalid next thorough exam date which was not updated when a new report was issued. This would then cause the item to be flagged as overdue when in fact it had a valid inspection report. This release corrects that error by clearing out any next thorough dates on assets currently reported on a B106J certificate. |
| 2.02.05 | Email Check | A startup parameter has been added to e-report, if /MAIL is supplied as a parameter, e-report will startup as an icon, check for and download any messages then exit. This makes it simple to use the built in scheduler in windows to configure e-report to automatically check for new reports. Please note that if you use a mail system that requires a password to check for mail (eg: notes) or displays a security prompt before granting access (eg: Outlook 2002) then this feature will not operate. |
| 2.02.04 | Loc Screen Auto Update |
The Location Address as displayed by the Loc screen was setup by the first report seen for a new location, subsequent reports would not change it. This has now been changed so that the location screen will display the address as it was on the most recently received report. An Automatic Update facility has been added for users with internet access. Under the utilities menu there is a "Check for Update" option that will check whether a newer version of the program is available. If a upgrade is available, it will offer to download the update and replace your copy of e-report automatically. |
| 2.02.03 | D6BCJL Update | This report wasn't correctly displaying defects, now corrected. |
| 2.02.02 | Deletion Report | Starting in June, your copy of e-report will be updated as and when items are removed from the inspection schedule. Upon receipt of the messages e-report will ensure any deleted plant does not appear on the overdue screen. However, previous reports for deleted items will still be available through the search and other screens. |
| 2.02.01 | Alert Page | A configuration option now exists to ignore Next Thorough Date in the overdue list if last examination resulted in a Not Available report being issued. (Default is off) |
| 2.02.00 | New IEE Electrical Inspection Report | A new inspection report has been added to the system, the IEE form. On starting e-report for the first time the system will ask you if you wish to update the database to create the tables needed to hold this report. You can answer no if you don't have administrative rights over your server however any new IEE reports arriving by email will cause an error as the tables won't exist for the information to be stored. |
| 2.01.45 | PS1 and PS2 | This copy of e-report will refresh the PS1 and PS2 form definitions. |
| 2.01.44 | Report Titles | The act of adding a Report Type column to any of the lists using version 2.01.43 would have caused an error. Now corrected, apologies for any inconveniance caused. |
| 2.01.43 | Report Titles B1J Next Exam |
Adding Report Type to any of the lists will now display the Form Name (eg: PS1) instead of a numeric value. B1J reports following a B17J now clear the Next Thorough Exam date. |
| 2.01.42 | B17J Report | The Pressure Plant report B17J was sometimes displaying a Next Thorough Examination date when no next date should have been displayed. This has now been corrected and any reports received after this update will correctly omit the next date where required. |
| 2.01.41 | PS3 Report | The Pressure Plant report PS3 was not displaying 7 b) Stipulate changes and give reasons when 7 a) had an answer of Yes. This has now been corrected and any reports already received that meet this criteria will now display correctly. |
| 2.01.40 | ZNA2, LE55J and D6BCJL Reports Added | These reports have been added to e-report, this means that the full proper report will now be displayed correctly instead of a Unsupported Form. Of special note is the ZNA2 as it is used to indicate Pressure Plant Not Available for inspection in a similar manner to the Lifting ZNA1. |
| 2.01.39 | Additional Delete Option | Warning Use with care An additional delete option has been added to the Location View screen, this allows the user to delete at the policy level as well as the location level. |
| 2.01.38 | L54AJR Reports Added | The L54AJR reports have been added to e-report, this means that Jersey lifting reports will now be displayed correctly instead of a Unsupported Form. |
| 2.01.37 | Prime Support | Those users who also operate the Prime package can now obtain details of when a report was linked to Prime. Currently only available on the Search screen, add the In Prime column via the Edit Displayed Data option. |
| 2.01.36 | Tackle Search | Additional data is now available for searching/display when Lifting Tackle Items are included in the search results. Most notably the Next Examination date is searchable, use Next Exam Date, and displayable, use Next Working Date. |
| 2.01.35 | Lotus Notes Configuration | Configuring e-report to talk to Lotus Notes has always been a more manual task than other email systems. This version introduces new logic that will attempt to perform the configuration automatically without the need for the PATH environment to be updated. |
| 2.01.34 | Filter | Selecting Next Thorough Date on the filter setup screen would cause an error message to be displayed. Now corrected. |
| 2.01.33 | Additional startup parameters | In order to facilitate a simple rollout to many users, this version will now support startup parameters of the form.... serve2.exe [/server someservername] [/dbname somedatabasename] [/notcp] Replace someservername with the name of the server running the MSDE database engine. Replace somedatabasename with the name of the e-report database. Specify \notcp if named pipes should be used as the network protocol. The parameters will take precedance over any existing configuration. |
| 2.01.32 | e-report Today | If the date on the computer running e-report is incorrect (eg: Many years in the future), then that incorrect date will be stored as the date received when reading in reports for emails. This will not affect the contents of reports, but will cause the reports to stick on the e-report today screen, even if the computer date is corrected. This version of e-report includes a check for future received dates and corrects them to a valid date. |
| 2.01.31 | History Future Insp. Graph |
History Page now displays pressure plant SOL or lifting plant SWL in item details section. A current reports only option has been added to the future inspections graph to make it more suitable as a planning tool. |
| 2.01.30 | Email as Excel File | The Excel (.XLS) files created when emailing are too old a format to correctly support cells with >255 characters. Therefore an additional CSV format has now been added under the Utilities - Configure option. Excel 97, Excel 2000 and Excel XP all support reading in cells larger than 255 chars from CSV files. Also the CSV format will permit users with Lotus 123 and other packages to work with the emailed data. |
| 2.01.29 | Calendar | Some users were experiencing an error when selecting the calendar screen. This should now be fixed. |
| 2.01.28 | PS3, PS4 Reports | Inconsistancies between Next Thorough Date on report when blank and Next Thorough Date on report lists (eg: Search Result). Now corrected, first run of version 28 will also retrospectively correct existing data. |
| 2.01.27 | Printing Graph |
Version 2.01.26 caused severe slowdown for some customers. Speed should now be back at version 2.01.25 levels. Also included is support for printing the graph on the Inspections Due screen. When printing please bear in mind that the larger the list of reports, the slower the print/preview will be. This is because all the information has to be read from the database before printing can start. |
| 2.01.26 | Print Preview Printing Due Graph |
Print Preview and improved printing, you now have much more control over how a list of reports print, including support for grouped lists. The Inspection Due graph has also been enhanced with the plan to include the printing of the graph in a future upgrade. |
| 2.01.25 | Emailing Lists | E-mailing of Alert,Search results etc. is now available in Excel Format as well as HTML. Use Utilities | Configure to switch between the two formats. This will enable remote users to work with the data sent, rather than just view it. (Default remains as HTML) |
| 2.01.24 | e-report Today | Copying to Excel on the e-report Today page went through the motions without copying the data to the clipboard, now corrected. |
| 2.01.23 | Splash Screen Deleting LT4 Reports Lifting Tackle Search |
The Splash Screen should now display the correct colours for users running a True Colour display. If you deleted a lifting tackle report (LT4) and at a later date tried to re-read that report into the system it would report an error, corrected to allow report to be read in again. A recent change to search added the ability to search into lifting tackle reports, this has caused a quite severe peformance hit on slower machines. Therefore the ability to search into tackle reports is now optional, with the default value off. This can be re-enabled by selecting the option in Utilities | Configure. |
| 2.01.22 | Batch Printing | Attempting to batch print a number of reports would raise an error depending upon which screen was selected, this has now been corrected. |
| 2.01.21 | E-Report Today PS1 Next Thorough Date |
E-Report Today would raise an error if you tried to select User Comments as a displayed column. On some older PS1 reports where a next thorough examination date hadn't been specified a date of 30/12/1899 was being displayed. Both faults now corrected. |
| 2.01.20 | E-Report Today Large Text in Lists |
If only a few reports were received, e-report today miscount the total as zero even though it listed the new reports underneath. The maximum display size for Other Defects has been raised from 255 characters to 2000 characters on the Alert, Search and e-report Today screens. |
| 2.01.19 | Calendar L4 Report |
Adding Client Name or Address to the Calendar screen would cause an SQL error, now corrected. On L4 reports, Makers No and User Ref were transposed on the first of the two tables of that report, now corrected. |
| 2.01.18 | ODBC Driver | Yesterday's release of 2.01.17 wasn't compatible with early versions of the Microsoft SQL Server driver. This manifested itself in "unsupported feature" and "invalid SQL data type" errors on the Filing Cabinet, Calendar, Due Dates and Alert screens. Now corrected. |
| 2.01.17 | Logging Filters Available Columns E-mail Read |
The logging of user actions has been extended to also log the clearing of Actions and Overdues. Filters have been reworked to remove a few errors, and User Comments has been added to the list of available columns. In addition, e-mail reading of reports will accept FW: or Re: in front of E-Report 2.0 Report subject lines. |
| 2.01.16 | E-mailing reports | A number of users have requested the ability to log the emailing of reports to third parties. This is now in place, by default an entry is added to the comments section of the report that was emailed indicating who emailed it and when. We cannot at the moment add who it was emailed to but we're working on it. To switch off the logging uncheck the option in Utilities | Configure. |
| 2.01.15 | SQL Server | Date errors appearing on Location View screen when operating with an SQL Server that has been localised to British English instead of English. Now fixed. |
| 2.01.14 | Filter E-Report Today Alert Search |
Error when trying to filter by Repairs Required now fixed. The remaining screens mentioned have had their grids optimised to speed up response times. |
| 2.01.13 | Future Inspections Search Copy To Excel |
Future Inspections has been enhanced to allow the user to toggle (on/off) the display of Next Thorough and Next Exam. A "Batch" delete option has been added to the search page, just highlight the reports you wish to delete, right click and select "Batch Delete Reports" The excel copy feature was not generating expected results, this should now be fixed. |
| 2.01.12 | Search | Search has been enhanced to check rules against Lifting Tackle assets |
| 2.01.11 | PS3 Reports Archived Reports |
Version 2.01.00 onwards of e-report would not have read in some PS3 reports correctly. To ensure that all PS3 reports in the system are complete, after installing version 2.01.11, reprocess all files from the Archive folder with a creation date after 11-Jan-2001. Archived reports would still show on the e-report Today screen. |
| 2.01.10 | Emailing Reports/Lists | If you used Outlook Express to email reports to other users, the Send E-mail Screen would not respond to any mouse clicks. This has now been rectified. |
| 2.01.09 | Search | The Search screen now has an option to select whether the rules specified be and'ed or or'ed together. |
| 2.01.08 | Search | A "Current Reports Only" option has been added to the search screen to make the search function compatible with planning. (This allows you to use search to pick up overdues or future inspection dates) |
| 2.01.07 | Database Connection | Users not using an ODBC connection named EReport2 would have had problems running version 2.01.06, now corrected. |
| 2.01.06 | Report Lists Mapi Mailing |
Fairly major changes. Lists of reports can now be emailed just like individual reports. "Grouping" is now available on many screens. Multiselection can now be achieved through the familiar SHIFT-CLICK to select a range and CTRL-CLICK to tag single rows. Users with a MAPI compliant e-mail system will now be presented with their normal "Send Mail" screen when electing to dispatch an e-mail thus permitting them to use their normal address book etc. |
| 2.01.05 | E-Report Today Filtering |
The result grid on the E-Report Today screen is now configurable wrt selecting columns for display. The Filter control now has an option to select whether the rules specified be and'ed or or'ed together |
| 2.01.04 | Reading in reports | Recent historical downloads appear to have had a few additional characters appended to the end of encrypted reports, this was causing e-report to hang when trying to read in the information. E-Report has been updated to identify and ignore these additional characters, therefore permitting reports to be read in. |
| 2.01.03 | E-mailing a report | The "send a report" screen lost it's dropdown address list. Now replaced. |
| 2.01.02 | Search & Filter | If Pressure Plant was selected then B17J forms would not be included in the result. Now corrected to include B17J reports. |
| 2.01.01 | Installation | Direct ODBC support now added to application. If on startup e-report cannot connect to the database server (it may be on another machine that it doesn't yet know about), the user will have the option of bringing up a list of available ODBC connections (User DSNs) to select from. At this point the user can even create a new DSN. (See application note for e-report ODBC configuration details) |
| 2.01.00 | Inspection Reports (PS1, PS2, PS3) | Updates to the indicated reports. Protective Device comments now appear. Next Thorough exam date is now always displayed on PS1 even if supplematary working has not been carried out yet. Note that these changes only apply to reports received after version 2.01.00 has been installed. |
