Adding Assets

Top  Previous  Next

Assets need to be created and stored within a Scheme.  If necessary, create a new Scheme in which to hold the asset (see Adding a Scheme for details).

1.Highlight the appropriate schedule from the Site List screen and select "Schedule Schedule for" from the Side Bar.
2.Toggle Edit Mode to ON.
3.The selected schedule will open.  NOTE:  If it is a new scheme a blank schedule will be displayed.
4.Insert the item(s).  It is possible to insert a number of items individually.  However, where 10 or more items are to be inserted, the option for inserting multiple items should be used:
Inserting individual items
i.Select where the asset is to be placed - click on the item above which the new asset is to be inserted.  (HINT: When adding the first asset to a new scheme, this step may be ignored).
ii.Insert a new (blank) item.  Either:
click the Insert item icon (Insert Item) from the Tool Bar, or
right-click in the Data Area and select "Insert item Insert Item" from the subsequent menu.

(HINT: If the Insert Item icon is greyed out, then either:

Edit Mode has not been selected, or
the login account in use does not have the authority to insert an asset).

5.Click into the first available (ie non-greyed out) field for the new asset and input the data.  Tab to the other available fields and input data as necessary. (NOTE: Certain fields may restrict the type of data which can be entered.  For example, "Thorough Freq." is restricted to numbers of no more than 3 digits).
6.Repeat steps 3-4 as required. (HINT: If new assets are being added to the foot of a schedule, then ensure Edit Mode is selected, click on the last item of the schedule and tab into the second field.  Press the down arrow on the keyboard to automatically insert a new line).
7.Click the Save icon to save the changes.
