Creating a Global Procedure

1.Select Tools > Create a Global Procedure from the Menu Bar.
2.Toggle Edit Mode to ON.
3.Complete the Procedure Details section:

Procedure Reference: Input a unique reference by which the procedure can be identified. (HINT: In order to ensure that a unique reference is used, select Tools > View Global Procedures from the Menu Bar to view references already in use).
Procedure Title:  Assign and input a title for the procedure.
Revision Number:  The Revision Number is assigned by Prime's version control system.  It cannot be edited.
Revision Date:  The date defaults to the current date and cannot be edited.
4.Click into the main body of the screen and input the procedure details (HINT: Standard formatting options are available from the Tool Bar).  (NOTE: To copy a pre-existing procedure, it is necessary to first view the procedure to be copied, select the contents of the procedure and then copy and paste them into the new procedure through the use of Control C for Copy and Control V for Paste).
5.Click the Save icon to save the new procedure.

 

The new procedure will now be available to add to schedules or assets and appears on the Global Procedures list. (Select Tools > View Global Procedures from the Menu Bar).
