As a general rule, defects within Prime are rated:
| • | Category A – the most severe type of defect, requiring repair immediately. |
| • | Category B – a serious defect requiring repair within a defined time limit. |
| • | Category C – a defect which requires repair. |
| • | Observation – a comment or observation made by the surveyor perhaps detailing additional information on any repairs required, or comments to take into account in future inspections. |
