Deleting a Scheme

Top  Previous  Next

The deletion of a scheme is a staged process.  A scheme is first marked for deletion (when a scheme is only marked for deletion it may be re-instated) before being finally removed from the database.

To mark a scheme for deletion:

1.Ensure the Site List screen is displayed.  ("Site List icon Site List" on the Side Bar will be greyed-out when the Site List is displayed).
2.Toggle Edit Mode to ON.
3.Click on the appropriate scheme.
4.Select the "Delete Scheme Delete Scheme" icon from the tool bar. (HINT: If the Delete Scheme icon is greyed-out, then either:
Edit Mode has not been selected, or
the login account in use does not have the authority to modify a scheme).
5.In the "Delete Scheme" dialog box, click Yes to mark the scheme for deletion or No to cancel.

Schemes marked for deletion will still appear on the Site List screen but will be greyed-out.  All the Side Bar options for the scheme will state "Scheme Marked for Deletion".

To reinstate a scheme marked for deletion:

(NOTE: The option to reinstate a scheme is only available up until the point a Save is made.  It is impossible to navigate away from the Site List without confirming whether or not the scheme is to be permanently deleted).

1.Click the Undo icon (Undo Modifications).
2.In the subsequent dialog box, confirm that the changes are to be undone.  (NOTE: Agreeing to undo changes will not just reinstate the scheme but will revert the database back to the point at which a save was last made).

The scheme will again be accessible from the Site List.

To permanently remove a scheme from the database:

(NOTE: Attempting to navigate away from the Site List without firstly reinstating or permanently removing a scheme marked for deletion will cause a warning message to be displayed).

Either:

click the Save icon (Save), or
toggle Edit Mode to OFF and confirm that the changes are to be saved.
