Moving an Asset between Schedules

Top  Previous  Next

Sometimes an asset may need to be moved from one Schedule to another:

1.Highlight the appropriate Schedule from the Site List screen and select "Schedule Schedule For" from the Side Bar.
2.Ensure the Indicator Column is available:
Select Utilities > Configure > Schedule Settings from the resultant menus.
Click the "Display Indicator Column" option.  A tick indicates that the option is enabled.

(NOTE: Once enabled, this setting will be retained by Prime for future use).

3.Toggle Edit Mode to ON.
4.Click on the asset to be moved.  If several assets need to be moved to the same location, they can be selected and moved as a group:
To move assets distributed through a schedule – select the first asset and then hold down the Control key and click on the other required assets. (NOTE: To show the selection of an asset, a dot will appear next to it in the Indicator Column).
To move assets already adjacent to one another – select the first asset of the group, hold down the Shift key and select the last asset of the group.  (NOTE: Dots in the Indicator Column identify those assets selected).

NOTE: A maximum of 200 assets may be cut or copied at any one time.  If more than 200 assets are selected, the "Warning" dialog box will display stating that only the first 200 assets selected will be cut or copied.

5.Click the Cut icon (Cut) on the Tool Bar.  (HINT: if the Cut icon is greyed-out, then either:
Edit Mode has not been selected, or
the login account in use does not have the authority to cut an asset).
6.Select Site List and open the destination schedule from the Side Bar.
7.Ensure Edit Mode is ON.
8.Right-click in the Data Area and select  "Paste Paste" from the subsequent menu.
9.To paste the asset at the foot of the destination schedule, select Yes from the "Paste Position" dialog box.  To paste the asset beneath the currently selected row select No from the "Paste Position" dialog box.
10.The newly pasted item can now be re-selected and edited if required.
