Automatic Recording of Defects

When an electronic inspection report is received, Prime will (where necessary) automatically assign a defect level based on the information contained within the report.  As a general rule, defects are rated:

Category A – the most severe type of defect, requiring immediate repair.
Category B – a serious defect requiring repair within a defined time limit.
Category C – a defect which requires repair.
Observation – a comment or observation made by the surveyor perhaps detailing additional information on any repairs required, or comments to take into account in future inspections.

The automatic defect level may be over-ridden to match criteria used by individual end-users.  For example, for some organisations ALL defects may be viewed as possibly compromising safe working and they may therefore be re-classified as Category A.

Manual Recording of Defects

Defects may be recorded (by users with a security level of 55 or above) via the "Defects Defects For" screen.

2.Click on the appropriate asset and select "Defects Defects For" from the Side Bar.
3.Toggle Edit Mode to ON.
4.Right-click in the Data Area and select "Insert item Insert Item" from the subsequent menu.
