Search Settings

Three standard filters are available from the "Search Settings" option on the Data Area right-click menu:

Remove Items with Blank Dates
Remove Excluded Items
Search Heading And Drawing Items

These can be applied separately, jointly, or not at all.  By default, none of these settings is applied.

Remove Items with Blank Dates

Where a date column has been added to the Grouping Area and "Remove Items with Blank Dates" is applied, any items which have a blank date in the field added to the view will be excluded from view.  (NOTE: If a date field is not included on the screen before "Remove Items with Blank Dates" is applied, and a date field is subsequently added, it will be necessary to click Refresh (Refresh) for the setting to appear).

For example:

1.Select "Search Search" from the Side Bar.
2.Search for all assets within the PSR Module:
i.Select PSR Module from the "Module" box.
ii.Click Search Now.
3.Right-click in the Data Area and select View Options > "Edit displayed data Edit Displayed Data" from the subsequent menus.
4.Drag "Due Date (T)" from the Customization box to the Column Headings area.
5.Close the Customization box.
6.Right-click in the Data Area again, and select Search Settings > Remove Items with Blank Dates from the subsequent menu.  (A tick next to this option indicates that it is enabled).
7.Click Refresh (Refresh) to re-load the search results.
8.The search screen will now update to remove all items with blank dates.  A heading will appear over the data area stating: "Blank Dates Removed". (NOTE: Where two date fields are added to the view, the "Remove Items with Blank Dates" will remove only those records where BOTH dates are blank.)

Once applied, the "Remove Items with Blank Dates" setting will be retained by Prime for future use.  This will be indicated in any subsequent search results (where a Date field is included in the Column Heading area) by the heading "Blank Dates Removed".

To re-instate the blank dates:

1.Right-click in the Data Area.
2.Select Search Settings > Remove Items with Blank Dates from the subsequent menu.  The tick will be removed from this option and the heading will disappear from the Data Area.

Remove Excluded Items

(NOTE: Information on excluding assets may be found in the "Scrapped or Moth-balled assets" and "Excluding Assets" sections).

Assets which have been marked as "Excluded" (via the Excluded field on the Item Details screen) may be removed from view in the search results.

For example:

1.Select "Search Search" from the Side Bar.
2.Search for all assets within the PSR Module:
Select PSR Module from the "Module" box.
Click Search Now.
3.Right-click in the Data Area and select Search Settings > Remove Excluded Items from the subsequent menus.  A tick will appear next to this option indicating that it is enabled.
4.The search screen will now update to remove all Excluded Items from the results.  A heading will appear over the Data Area stating: "Excluded Items Removed".

Once applied, the "Remove Excluded Items" setting will be retained by Prime for future use.  This will be indicated in any subsequent search results by the heading "Excluded Items Removed".

To re-instate excluded items:

1.Right-click in the Data Area.
2.Select Search Settings > Remove Excluded Items from the subsequent menu.  The tick will be removed from this option.

(NOTE: More information on Excluding assets may be found in the "Excluding Assets" section).
