A bit about LMP ...

Starting from small beginnings, LMP is now a significant name in the statutory engineering marketplace ...

LMP operates from its offices in Irthlingborough Northamptonshire; we are an organization that concentrates on two different but complementing services, these being engineering consultancy and software services for the statutory inspection market.

The company was founded in 1991 as an engineering consultancy in preparation for the Pressure Systems Regulations coming fully into force in 1994. Our main service was to provide Written Schemes of Examination that considered the system as a whole and which were produced and reviewed independently from an inspection regime.

It quickly became apparent that a software system to manage the Written Schemes would greatly assist our clients and also introduce a “Unique Selling Point” when marketing our services. Hence the Prime system was born and the first installation took place in 1992.

Prime quickly evolved through customer requests from a pressure systems package, to a package that could handle statutory plant of all disciplines and in 1994 the first automatic updates from inspection reports took place.

Talking to existing and prospective clients it became apparent that report information being supplied electronically from the inspection authority was a topic that generated a lot of interest. As a result of this interest we created an electronic reporting product (Serve) that could be marketed by the inspection authority as their electronic reporting solution to their customers.
